MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been affected by his international popularity. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Best Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album peaked at the rank of eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina within the year following. The singer appeared in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash song Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is a product of a household of music his mother and older brother also are musicians. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. When he was young, he instructed to play the saxophone, piano and guitar. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian convinced him to take singing lessons with the help of a Cuban instructor and as a result personally discovering his talent in the field of singing changed his entire life.
